SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Technical result is achieved due to the steps of obtaining, from a web server, data representing a web page for display in a browser application; determining, based on said data, web page elements associated with at least one third party web resource of the usage step; obtaining usage step data containing at least data on past user actions of the user with at least one third party web resource of the usage step; inputting the usage step data into the MLA algorithm to determine the probability value of allowing the user to use the third party cookie from at least one third party web resource of the usage step together with said web resource when browsing the web page; and determining the unlikely probability of allowing the user to use the third party cookie while browsing the web page if the probability value is less than the threshold value.
EFFECT: high protection of information in a computing device of a user against interference of third parties.
