SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of space objects using finely dispersed substance, for example, lunar dust — regolith. Dust (particles sized 10–100 mcm) is removed from the region of the orbit of the Moon into a parabolic or hyperbolic transfer orbit and scattered along a certain trajectory in the vicinity of this orbit. Under the action of gravity and solar pressure, a dust flow (plume) is formed, which is oriented tangentially at perigee and transmits its pulse to a certain space object on a near-earth orbit passing through perigee. In order to increase the length of the plume, dust can be scattered in series by several initiating devices.
EFFECT: reduced undesirable scattering of fine substance plume with possibility of controlling its size and structure in perigee.
