FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering, particularly, to methods and devices for cleaning near-Earth space environment from space garbage. Method of withdrawal of spacecraft (SC) that have ceased active existence includes excitation of Ampeter force directly on board of space vehicle by induction device, which comprises an even number of spiral cylindrical inductance coils (SCC) wound on non-metal holder-batons and inserted into outer cores. Cords are magnetically soft cylindrical tubes arranged equally and symmetrically relative to axis minus X, passing through center of mass of spacecraft and directed to center of Earth in spacecraft-associated coordinate system, and connected in series to electric circuit with direct-current source, current direction switches and switches for each SCC to create a given direction and level of thrust.

EFFECT: short-term lowering of spent SC for its destruction in dense layers of atmosphere.
