SUBSTANCE: methods for cleaning internal combustion engine parts from hard-to-remove contaminants, mainly carbon deposits. A method for express cleaning of an internal combustion engine with steam is disclosed, which involves adding a cleaning composition to the engine oil through the oil filler neck. The mentioned cleaning composition includes an active substance based on oxosilicates of mineral origin and is added to the oil after changing it with preliminary shaking until the sediment disappears, followed by warming up the engine to operating temperature, idling for 30 minutes and releasing the gas 3-5 times. After this, the engine should be operated as usual until the next oil change. In this case, the process of cleaning surfaces from contaminants is carried out due to vaporization under the influence of high loads and temperatures in contact zones on microprotrusions of surfaces due to the destruction of the crystal lattice of oxosilicates with the release of thermal energy and without the scratching effect of abrasive particles.

EFFECT: simplifying the cleaning process, reducing the time spent on it, as well as reducing damage to the surfaces being cleaned.
