FIELD: exploration geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of electrical prospecting with direct current (methods of resistance and induced polarization). Essence: electrical prospecting in the water area is carried out using a multi-electrode electrical prospecting cable towed along the bottom of the water body. Multi-electrode electrical prospecting cable is fixed on the lower part of the non-conducting screen. Ratio of the screen length and its width to the maximum spacing of the multi-electrode electrical prospecting cable located at the center of the screen is selected to be not less than 1.8 and 1.3, respectively.
EFFECT: higher detail of electrical prospecting in water area.
