SUBSTANCE: described is a method of purifying a polysaccharide obtained from gram-negative bacteria from a solution containing said polysaccharide and impurities after fermentation, comprising a) acid hydrolysis or heat treatment; b) flocculation; c) first ultrafiltration/diafiltration; d) coal filtration; e) chromatography; and f) second ultrafiltration/diafiltration, where chromatography in step e) includes membrane chromatography (IEX), hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) and both IEX and HIC.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a polysaccharide with high degree of purity, as well as low content of residual proteins, nucleic acids and endotoxins.
