FIELD: separation; mixing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of apparatus for separating liquids, specifically to a centrifugal extractor for use in chemical, radiochemical, petrochemical, hydrometallurgical, pharmaceutical industries, where separation of hard-to-separate, aggressive, radioactive, toxic, explosive liquids is required. Extractor comprises an electric drive, a housing with a mixing chamber, a separation chamber and light and heavy phases of the processed liquid medium, a hydraulic lock, tubes for input and output of light and heavy phases, torque from the electric motor shaft is transmitted to the loaded polymer parts of the article through the metal unloading element, which distributes the load over the volume of the polymer part, wherein all parts in contact with the processed medium are made of chemically resistant polymer materials. All metal parts of the extractor and extractor space are isolated from aggressive components of the processed liquid medium by a complex of labyrinth seals. Extractor is characterized by the fact that its housing is made rotating, installed on top of the electric drive, rigidly fixed on the shaft of the electric drive through a metal unloading element, distributing the load over the volume of the polymer housing, and is equipped with horizontal partitions and a cover with formation of chambers for selection of light and heavy phases. In the housing there is a fixed distributor with a mixer installed in its lower part, inside which there are channels connected to the light and heavy phases inlet and outlet tubes, note here that hydraulic lock is made up of top horizontal baffle while case tightness at joint with cover is ensured by O-ring.

EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities of device due to possibility of operation with liquids having insignificant difference in densities of light and heavy phases in separation chamber, at simultaneous increase of corrosion resistance of its parts to processed liquid medium, increase of electric motor protection against aggressive steam-gas mixture and reduction of overall characteristics of extractor.
