FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a particle separator with a flow surface passing in the axial direction. Two-stage separator system comprises a housing extending between a first end and a second end. Housing defines an inlet of the housing, an outlet of the separator towards the second end and an outlet for filtration at the first end. System also includes a filter assembly having a first filter packing sheet connected to the second filter packing sheet, together defining a plurality of corrugations passing in the axial direction. Filter assembly defines a flow inlet surface, a flow outlet surface and an outer radial barrier surface. Housing inlet determines airflow path, which is tangent to outer radial barrier surface. Filter assembly is located in the housing and connected to the housing around the filtration outlet so that the flow outlet surface is in fluid communication with the filtration outlet. Flow inlet surface has an axial length of the flow surface. Also disclosed are two-stage separator systems, where the outer radial barrier surface extends in the axial direction from the filtration outlet behind the housing inlet and the outer radial barrier surface has an axial length from the flow outlet surface towards the flow inlet surface, which is greater than or equal to the axial distance from the filtration outlet to the far end of the housing inlet.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher efficiency of separator and separation of particles with surface passing in axial direction for flow.
