SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing radium-225-containing material from radium-226-containing materials. Material containing radium-225 is obtained by subjecting the starting material containing radium-226 to neutron radiation from a nuclear reactor to convert 226Ra into radium-225 to obtain a material containing radium-225. Neutron irradiation of the starting material containing radium-226 is carried out in a nuclear reactor with a moderator. In the process of irradiation, the initial radium-226-containing material is screened by a protective screen which absorbs thermal neutrons.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing actinium-225 from radium-226.
