FIELD: reactor technology of radionuclide production for nuclear medicine. SUBSTANCE: method includes irradiation of target that contains natural isotope of thorium 230Th by bremsstrahlung gamma-quanta of electron accelerator. Target isotope thorium-229 is accumulated in target in the course of threshold nuclear reaction of γ which is product of natural disintegration of 230Th(γ,n) (230ThF4). Target material is 230ThO2 or 238U, or metal thorium-230. Bismuth-213 base therapeutic preparation produced in the process is noted for high specific activity and radioisotope purity.
