FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves leaching treatment of 226Ra targets with leaching essentially the entirety of 225Ac and 226Ra with nitric or hydrochloric acid, followed by first extraction chromatography for separating 225Ac from 226Ra and other Ra-isotopes and second extraction chromatography for separating 225Ac from 210Po and 210Pb. There are also two versions of the method of extracting pure 225Ac from irradiated 226Ra targets, as well as a pharmaceutically acceptable radioisotope composition.
EFFECT: obtaining pure 225Ac which can be used to prepare compositions which are suitable for pharmaceutical purposes.
