FIELD: shipbuilding; various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship propulsors, namely to protection of propeller shafts and propellers from electrochemical corrosion. Protective multilayer coating of propeller shaft and propeller against corrosion in place of propeller screw seat and places of contact with environment. Multilayer coating is made using natural mineral materials in finely dispersed state, having specific electrical resistance, which are made with possibility of application on screw and shaft surfaces by mechanical indentation to coating thickness of 50–70 mcm.
EFFECT: complete protection against electrochemical corrosion of propeller screw and propeller shaft in place of propeller screw landing and places of contact of shaft surface with external environment.
