SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile device user authentication. Technical result is achieved due to the continuity and multifactorial nature of the user authentication process. After activation of the mobile device by means of the primary identifier, binding to a specific authorized user is performed, teaching the device to recognize various user-related features, for example biometric, distance between user and mobile device is cyclically recorded by means of RFID-tag located with user, based on which the value of the probability of the device being in physical possession of the authorized user is cyclically determined. This value is compared with a priori specified threshold values of probability, and depending on the result of comparison, the user is allowed to all functions of the device, or to some functions, or access is prohibited.

EFFECT: high reliability of authenticating a user of a mobile device.
