METHOD OF WELL FORMATION TREATMENT BY HYDRAULIC PULSE ACTION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E21B28/00 E21B43/25

Abstract RU 2817366 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to restore and increase injectivity of injection wells and production rate of production wells. Method of treatment of wells formation by hydraulic pulse action (HPA) includes formation of depression pressure drop between bottomhole formation zone and cavity of tubing (TBG), pressure relief during intensive movement of well fluid from bottomhole formation zone along TBG to day surface with abrupt opening of TBG cavity by means of breaker, creation of periodic pressure pulses in the bottom-hole zone of the formation by switching the fluid flow by the interrupter. Bleeding is performed with closed cavity of annular space and abrupt opening of TBG cavity with breaker. Periodic pressure pulses are created in the form of a damped standing wave moving along the TBG cavity at each pressure release stage by abrupt overlapping of the TBG cavity with a breaker during the period of the most intensive lifting of the well fluid. Damped oscillations are controlled by the wellhead pressure sensor installed in the TBG cavity. Circuit breaker is located in shutoff and control valves, by means of which the working pressure of the well fluid is provided by means of shutting off and holding in the shut-off state of the well, upon reaching the working pressure in the wellbore and in the bottom-hole zone, as well as in formation according to geological and technical characteristics of this well due to formation pressure and thickness of formation itself. Thereafter, processing is carried out in an automated mode by a series of periodic pressure release pulses during the period of its maximum rise by opening the well cavity at the wellhead for the well fluid outflow and pauses when the well cavity is closed by commands from the control unit based on information from the pressure sensor or sensors. At the same time the beginning of a new series of pulses is performed upon recovery of working pressure in the well bore. Upon completion of the specified number of series of pulses, operations of intermediate determination of well formation injectivity are performed at pumping of process fluid from day surface. In case of insufficient intake capacity, an additional series of pulses of depressive action on the well formation is performed.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of bottomhole formation zone and well formation due to exclusion of its initial compaction, contamination of downhole equipment with asphalt-paraffin-resin deposits and colmatants.
