FIELD: wireless sensor networks.

SUBSTANCE: method of organizing communication in a wireless sensor network having a plurality of sensor nodes, one of which is a coordinator, forming a "tree" topology, includes transmitting and receiving sensor node (C1) initialization messages, broadcast search of nodes (C2), response of node to message C2 (C3), data to coordinator (C4), data to specified node (C5). Messages C1 – C5 contain a command code, a node level number, a sender and a recipient node address. During any transmission between nodes of nearby levels in C1, C3, C4 and C5, the address of the sender node and the address of the recipient node are set equal to the address of the transmitting and receiving nodes, respectively. In C2, the address of the sender node and the address of the recipient node are set equal to the address of the transmitting node. A list of nodes located at levels with a higher number is formed in the nodes. Data transfer procedure is carried out between any nodes. Coordinator is any node on which a zero level number is set during configuration and a working cycle is started.

EFFECT: wireless communication between a plurality of irregularly located sensor nodes.
