SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry. Artificial fur consists of soil and pile, wherein the ground contains viscose or polyester thread, and the pile is a mixture of bast and viscose, wool, and polyester fibres. Pile coating of the artificial fur is made from a mixture of fibres containing 10% to 65% of bast fibres and 35% to 90% of viscose, or wool, or polyester fibres. Method of making artificial fur involves knitting soil with simultaneous knitting of bundles of fibres from a carding tape into each loop of the soil and fixing the bundles of fibres.
EFFECT: method of making artificial fur enables to obtain an end product having antistatic, hypoallergenic and bactericidal properties, artificial fur is high-strength and lasts three times longer than cotton, has good air permeability and hygroscopicity.
