FIELD: knitting production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of making low-pile artificial knitted fur for footwear industry by knitting a carding tape. Method of making knitted fur, in which on a circular knitting machine an undercoat from threads is knitted, into loops of which bundles of fibres from a carding tape are knitted, which form a pile containing from 5 to 50% of bicomponent fibres, perform shearing, gluing, widening and stabilization of the web, bicomponent fibres are sintered from the side of the undercoat on a calender at temperature of 130 to 200 °C. Bicomponent fibres used are a fibre consisting of a rod polyester fibre and a polyethylene shell with a melting point of 80 up to 130 °C.

EFFECT: improved properties of pile fixation, shape stability and wear resistance of knitted fur.
