ACOUSTIC METHOD OF DETERMINING RESPIRATORY MINUTE VOLUME OF DIVER UNDER WATER Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/91 A61B5/205

Abstract RU 2817491 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to assessment of respiratory organs, and can be used for monitoring of physiological condition of divers with underwater respiratory equipment of open cycle. Claimed is an acoustic method, which makes it possible to monitor the condition of a diver under water based on one of the main physiological parameters of respiration during submersion – respiratory minute volume (RMV), without interference in the design of the respiratory valves of the apparatus. Method includes preliminary determination of value of continuous forced rate of supply of respiratory mixture of used breathing apparatus, registration of breathing noise of diver, extraction of inspiratory murmur and determination of inspiratory murmur duration in one minute. Calculation of minute volume of diver breathing under water is carried out as a result of total duration of inspiratory murmur per minute, multiplied by value of speed of continuous forced supply of respiratory mixture.

EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of the method for determining pulmonary ventilation of a diver by RMV without interference in the design of the respiratory apparatus.
