SUBSTANCE: invention relates to prediction of steel pipe ovality after pipe expansion. Steel pipe manufacturing process includes: U-forming stage, O-forming stage and pipe expansion stage. At the stage of prediction, information on ovality of the steel pipe is predicted after the stage of pipe expansion using a model for prediction of ovality, which is trained by means of machine learning. For the ovality prediction model, the input data are data including one or more operating parameters selected from the operating parameters of the U-moulding stage, and one or more operating parameters selected from the operating parameters of the O-forming stage, and the output data is information on the ovality of the steel pipe after the pipe expansion stage.
EFFECT: accurate prediction of steel pipe ovality after pipe expansion.
