SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmosurgery, and can be used in surgical treatment of ripe and overripe cataracts in patients with lens subluxation and posterior capsule "pathological mobility" syndrome. That is ensured by inserting iridocapsular retractors (ICR). Anterior capsulorhexis is performed. Nucleus is divided into fragments. They are emulsified with the removed fragment located above the remaining parts of the nucleus on the back capsule. Last nucleus fragment is taken out into the anterior chamber. Intraocular lens (IOL) is implanted. High-molecular viscoelastic is applied on the surface of IOL. Last nucleus fragment is transferred into the iris plane and partially into the posterior capsule and emulsified above the IOL. ICR is removed. Viscoelastic is washed out from the anterior chamber. Main incision and paracenteses are hydrated.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce the invasiveness of the intervention due to the introduction of a high-molecular weight viscoelastic between the IOL and the last fragment of the nucleus, which protects the surface of the IOL from damage by the solid fragment of the nucleus, damaging action of ultrasonic energy and from the mechanical action of the phacoemulsifier needle.
