METHOD FOR INTEGRATED URODYNAMIC EXAMINATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B6/00 G01N23/83

Abstract RU 2817957 C1

FIELD: medicine; urology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in diagnosing secondary vesicoureteral reflux disease with underlying neurogenic bladder dysfunction. Method for integrated urodynamic examination in treating children with secondary vesicoureteral reflux with underlying neurogenic bladder dysfunction consists in the fact that the filling medium of the bladder is an Ultravist radiopaque substance, and when performing a complex urodynamic examination during filling and emptying of the bladder, five X-ray images are obtained. First image is plain for visualization of radiopaque shadows and bone anomalies of the lumbosacral spine. Second image is taken at the beginning of the bladder filling with a radiopaque substance. Third image is fixed in the form of continuous fluoroscopy during the load tests of the Valsalva test and the cough test with an initial bladder volume of 50 ml. Fourth image is taken during the emptying phase of the bladder. Fifth image is taken after emptying the bladder.

EFFECT: invention provides more effective diagnosis of children with secondary vesicoureteral reflux with underlying neurogenic bladder dysfunction based on the use of hybrid urodynamic and X-ray examination.
