METHOD OF TREATING NEUROGENIC BLADDER DYSFUNCTION IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B5/20

Abstract RU 2687653 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pediatric neurology and urology, and can be used for treating neurogenic bladder dysfunction in children. Urine frequency and volume and volume of consumed fluid are collected by diary for 3 days. Median of the volume of the portion of single emptying of the urinary bladder is determined. It is followed by ultrasound at height of urination with natural filling of bladder to detected median. If vesicoureteral reflux is absent, uroflowmetry is carried out, residual urine is recorded. If there is no residual urine at the lower age bladder volume and rapid urination at a rate of more than 20 ml/s, thermal procedures are performed in amount of 10 sessions. If the rate is less than 20 ml/s, the urinary bladder is exposed to currents of supersonic frequency with power of 3–10 Wt, 10 sessions. Physiotherapeutic exposure is performed against a background of dosed liquid intake - at a weight of up to 40 kg - 50 ml per 1 kg a day, with weight exceeding 40 kg - 2 l a day.

EFFECT: method provides selecting a more suitable therapeutic approach.
