FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recycling and processing of poultry farming wastes. Disclosed is a method of producing a wetting composition for suppressing coal dust by preparing an aqueous solution of a hydrolyzate of feather-down wastes, obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of poultry feathers in the presence of a reducing agent in the following ratio of components, wt.%: bird feather:sodium hydroxide:sodium sulphide – 2.0–3.0:0.1–0.3:4.8–5.0, the rest is water, for 72 hours at temperature 20–25 °C, followed by filtration of the solution, to which vegetable oil and water are then added in the following ratio of components, wt.%: feather hydrolyzate:linseed oil – 0.1–0.3:0.07–0.1, the rest is water.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of dust suppression of coal dust aerosols and dusty surfaces by increasing the rate of wetting of dust particles and ability of components of composition to adsorption on surface of coal, adhesion of particles and polymerisation in light.
