FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry, and in particular to methods of fixing the dusting surfaces of open coal storages. Method includes applying a water solution of a mixture of calcium chloride and sodium carboxymethylcellulose to the dusty surfaces of open coal storage areas formed during the development of coal cuts, as well as during storage of coal in reloading places. Mixture is obtained by mixing calcium carbide and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, taken in a ratio of 5:1 by weight. Dissolution of the proposed mixture in water to a level of 20 % by weight in solution is carried out for 4 to 5 hours at a water temperature of +25 °C to +28 °C. Application of the resulting solution to the dusty surfaces of open coal storage areas is carried out using standard agricultural irrigation machines, the diameter of the spray nozzles of which shall be at least 1 cm.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the effectiveness of dust suppression on dusty surfaces.
