FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating periprosthetic infection in endoprosthesis operations. Fistulous passage within a hip joint is stained with a brilliant green solution; a hip joint is approached, along which all stained tissues are excised and the components of the endoprosthesis are removed. Smear is taken for bacterial inoculation from the wound sections; the wound is sanitized with antiseptics using a device with a pulsating jet. Ultrasonic wound cavitation is performed. Femoral bone marrow canal is drilled with reamers, and the cotyloid cavity or its remains are processed with spherical cutters, and sanitized with a Volkmann-type spoon. Cementless cup with silver coating is installed in cotyloid cavity by means of impactor of size corresponding to last size of ball-shaped cutter. Cup is fixed with screws with diameter of 6.5 or 4.5 mm. A polyethylene insert, a silver-coated endoprosthesis leg of the corresponding diameter and an endoprosthesis cup are installed. Head of the endoprosthesis is fitted, the range of motion in the hip joint is checked, a head of the required length and diameter is fitted, and silver-coated antibacterial beads are inserted, one of the ends of which is brought out through the counterpuncture onto the skin. Wound is closed. After wound healing, beads are removed.
EFFECT: method provides preventing infectious complications by forming a stable silver film on the surface of the implanted articles.
