FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating patients with periprosthetic infection with replacement of cavitary defects of cotyloid cavity. Infected endoprosthesis is removed, and the femur and cotyloid are sanitized. Cavitary defects of the cotyloid bone are assessed. Proceeding from the value of the cavitary defect of the cotyloid cavity, the amount of osteoplastic material is determined. Allograft bone crumb is mixed with antimicrobial preparation cefotoxime. Bone grafting of cotyloid defects is performed with the help of allograft bone crumb. Antibacterial articulating spacer is installed, and during installation of the antibacterial spacer, defect zones of the cotyloid cavity adjacent to the spacer are covered with an allograft bone. At the second stage of the revision intervention, a permanent cementless endoprosthesis is installed after arresting the infectious process and bone remodelling.
EFFECT: method provides improved results of treating patients with periprosthetic infection, replacement of cavitary defects at the stage of infection sanitation and installation of spacer due to peculiarities of cavitary cavity filling in the defect area.
