FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely to oil production and can be used to trap mechanical sediment during oil production with sucker-rod borehole pumps. Sucker-rod device for trapping mechanical sediment in an oil well includes a valve installed in a tubing string on rods above the cylinder of the plunger pump and passing from below upwards. Valve is made in form of ball interacting with seat, which is installed inside hollow cylindrical housing – sediment trap, rigidly and coaxially connected to rods, communicated from above and from below with tubing string and providing minimum possible gap between walls of tubing string for its movement inside without jamming. Inside the housing above the valve there are jumpers equipped with longitudinal overflow labyrinth holes. Jumpers are made transverse and located perpendicular to the well axis. Cross-sectional area of said gap between tubing string walls and housing is less than cross-sectional area of each of: channels at the top and bottom of housing, longitudinal labyrinth overflow holes.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased efficiency of mechanical sediment collection.
