FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for preserving autologous lactobacilli in samples of vaginal discharge and pure cultures of certain types of autologous lactobacilli isolated from the microbiota of the vagina of women on dense universal and selective nutrient media, which consists in the fact that 1-3 ml of vaginal discharge is suspended with a concentration of lactobacilli of at least 10 7 CFU /ml (GE/ml), in a ratio of 1:2-5 in a cryoprotective medium of a given composition, as well as pure cultures isolated from the vaginal microbiota, washed off from the surface of a dense nutrient medium from the specified cryoprotective medium in a final concentration of lactobacilli 4 units according to McFarland - 1.2× 10 9 CFU / ml, mixed, poured 1 ml into 2 ml cryotubes, closed hermetically and frozen at appropriate temperatures in low-temperature storage facilities, using as needed, previously restored by thawing by heating in a water bath at a temperature of plus 37°C for 60-120 s.
EFFECT: invention ensures preservation of the titre and viability of lactobacilli during storage at low temperatures.
