FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in determining water content in oil well product samples. Device for determining water content of oil wells includes a hollow vertical cylinder, which is made of two coaxially arranged pipes connected to each other by means of interference fit, one of which is equipped with recesses for annular electrodes with leads connected in series in pairs in height with corresponding paired cables with a measuring device. Two longitudinal grooves for appropriate cable are made on outer surface of inner pipe symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of cylinder. Hollow vertical cylinder is located coaxially inside a vertical sealed housing equipped with inlet and outlet nozzles, which are connected in series along the flow with the pipeline pumping the well products. Annular recesses are made on the inner surface of the inner dielectric pipe for electrodes, calibrated in height relative to the housing. Outlet branch pipe is communicated with cylinder cavity from above, and inlet branch pipe—from below through housing.
EFFECT: creation of a device for determining water cut of oil wells, which allows not to shut down the well operation during water cut measurements, reducing the costs for manufacturing and lowering into the well due to the resistivity meter placement into the vertical chamber with inlet and outlet nozzles, equipped with controlled valves and connected on the surface in series along the flow with the pipeline pumping the well products.
