FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used in determining water content in oil well product samples. Disclosed is a device for determining water content of oil wells, which includes a sampling cylindrical housing with a bottom, a cover, an inlet pipe and a heater and sensors for measuring parameters of liquid inside the housing, which are functionally connected to a control unit. Housing is made vertical and heat-insulated along the outer surface, as well as the bottom and the cover. Bottom inside is equipped with heat-conducting sealed chamber for heater, which is connected to control unit for maintenance of optimum temperature inside housing for operation of temperature and density sensors installed coaxially to housing at its bottom through cover. Cover is additionally equipped with an air valve for air release when the housing is filled and a check valve for passing air from the outside to the inside when the liquid is drained from the housing. Inlet branch pipe of the device is interconnected with the housing coaxially through the bottom and is made with possibility of switching to drain through the flow meter of the flowing liquid for further determination of the amount of water in the well product. Besides, the bottom is made with possibility of disconnection from the housing for installation and/or removal of the heater during its replacement.
