FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of extracting palladium, platinum, silver, yttrium, cerium from clay-salt wastes in form of slimes of potassium enterprises, which contain alkali metals. Method involves enrichment of sludge from potassium enterprises by washing to content of chlorides of alkali metals from 15 to 30% to obtain a collective concentrate. Concentrate is granulated and fired. Clay-salt wastes used are stored flotation sludges, which are dried after washing. After drying and granulation, the concentrate is roasted, after which the obtained cinder is ground to particle size of 0.1 mm. Then, clay particles are deslimed to obtain a concentrate of cinder enrichment in the form of sands. Wherein the bulk concentrate after drying and granulation is roasted at temperature of 880°C, then, intermetallic compounds of palladium, platinum, silver, copper, tin, lead, as well as intermetallic compounds of yttrium and cerium with size from 50 to 100 mcm are extracted from the obtained cinder.

EFFECT: method enables complex extraction of palladium, platinum, silver, yttrium and cerium from stored flotation sludge.
