SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof, which specifically bind to a protein which is a clumping factor A (ClfA) of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), as well as to a composition containing same. Also disclosed are isolated polynucleotides encoding VH, VH, also light and heavy chains of said antibody, as well as a vector, containing said polynucleotide.
EFFECT: invention is effective for treating or preventing an infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus in a subject.
