SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, particularly to plant growing. In the method, at the stage of growing seedlings, sweet pepper plants are irradiated for 2 months for 16 hours a day with LED lamps emitting ultraviolet light with wavelength of 400 nm and a total density of photosynthetic photon flux of 120±5 mcmol∙m-2⋅s-1.

EFFECT: method provides for improvement of quality of commercial products of sweet pepper due to increase of ascorbic acid content by 56 % in fresh fruits and increase of dry weight of pericarp by 18 % without application of fertilizers and chemical stimulants.
