SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing oxyhaemoglobin from arterial blood of cattle. Method of producing oxyhemoglobin from arterial blood of cattle involves separation of arterial blood into plasma and erythrocyte mass (EM) by settling for 6 hours with subsequent washing of EM with melt water, purified from salt impurities and heavy water, with ratio of EM: water in suspension of 1:1–1:10 and pH of suspension of 8.2, which is provided by adding sodium bicarbonate to the suspension. Further, by separation, a hemoglobin mass containing oxyhaemoglobin with specific weight of 1.3–1.4 g/cm³ is separated, which is frozen at temperature from—(20–60) °C and subjected to sublimation vacuum drying at pressure of 10–20 Pa. Then, dried mass is ground to particle size of 10–50 mcm and packed into polyethylene bags in an inert atmosphere of nitrogen, wherein the dried powder is oxyhaemoglobin with purity of 95–99% and content of divalent heme iron of up to 0.3%.

EFFECT: proposed method of producing oxyhaemoglobin has a simplified technology, eliminates the use of chemical reagents, enables to obtain a powdered product with high purity oxyhaemoglobin content of 95–99%, high bioavailability, highly effective anti-anemic properties and hypoallergenicity.
