FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture and concerns fodder production, in particular, to methods for preparation of a functional fodder additive from sprouted peas for introduction into the ration of farm animals and birds. Disclosed is a method for preparing a vegetable component for a protein functional fodder additive, involving treatment of plant seeds by soaking them in an aqueous solution of an organic growth substance containing the following, wt. %: naphthenic acid sodium salt – 35–45, rapeseed oil – 0.005–0.015, fresh water – balance, wherein plant seeds used are seeds of wintering peas (Pisum sativum L.) of Legion variety, washed in weak 0.1 % solution of potassium permanganate (KMnO4), aqueous solution of organic growth substance is taken in concentration of 0.1 ml/l of water, and seeds soaking is carried out at ratio of seeds to aqueous solution of organic growth substance is 1:2, after which the soaked seeds are left in darkened natural lighting conditions at temperature of 18–20 °C for three days to production of ready vegetable component in the form of pea seedlings.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a high-quality vegetable component for a protein functional fodder additive in the shortest possible time, without additional energy and labour costs, without loss of raw material quality, due to increased germination and enrichment of stock of biologically active substances in the vegetal component of the fodder additive.
