FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical industry, namely to methods for preparing water-soluble microcapsules of plant extracts. Method involves preparing a gelatine solution with a plant extract, introducing a dispersion medium and a dispersion process. Dry extract of chicory leaves or extract of red leaves of common grape vine is preliminary dissolved in purified water or in solution of maltodextrin of 1 % concentration. To obtain a film-forming agent solution, purified water remaining after dissolving the extract is added, wherein the ratio of the extract and the film-forming agent can be 1:2 or 1:10. Vaseline oil with density of 0.850 to 0.890 g/cm3 or chamomile essential oil with density of 0.896 to 0.920 g/cm3 is added to the obtained solution in volume 2 to 4 times greater than the volume of the gelatine solution. Dispersed in a hydrated gelatine solution with addition of glycerine at a stirrer speed of 400 to 600 rpm, at temperature 40 °C with subsequent cooling to 0 °C, wherein ratio of purified water and gelatine is 3:1, and ratio of gelatine and glycerol is 10:1. After hardening, the obtained microparticles are freed from the dispersion medium and dried at a temperature of not higher than 40 °C. Microcapsules of dry extract of common chicory leaves have diameter of 50 to 300 mcm and are spherical particles with a glossy surface from greenish-brown to bright yellow-brown colour with moisture content of 3.32±0.05 %. Microcapsules of dry extract of red leaves of common grape vine are spherical particles with a glossy surface from orange-brown to reddish-orange colour and have diameter from 50 to 300 mcm, moisture content of 2.76±0.05 %.
EFFECT: invention provides longer shelf life of dry plant extracts of common chicory leaves or red leaves of common grape vine.
