Disclosed is a method of encoding/decoding video, which determine whether to use a list of most probable modes (MPM), based on the coding information of the current block, obtaining from the bitstream intra-prediction mode index information indicating one of the candidate intra-prediction modes included in the MPM list, and determining the intra-prediction mode of the current block using the obtained intra-prediction mode index information, wherein the intra-prediction mode candidate list is obtained by using at least one of the intra-prediction mode of the left block adjacent to the left side of the current block, and an intra-prediction mode of the upper block adjacent to the upper side of the current block.
