FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: thorax implant in the part of the rib fragments recovery includes a longitudinally elongated flat basic device for attachment to the thorax sternum and connected to it implants of restored parts of ribs in form of flexible elongated elements, other ends of which are made in the form of plates and are equipped with means for connection with the remaining end parts of the ribs of the chest. Longitudinally elongated flat basic device for attachment to sternum of chest is made with flat projections, location of which in space coincides with the directions of the corresponding cartilages of the restored parts of the ribs. Each flexible elongated element of the implants of the repaired parts of the ribs represents a spiral-shaped elastic wire of rectangular shape in cross-section. Spiral turns in the plan are changed so that to repeat the contour in the plan of the corresponding restored part of the rib. Cavity inside each flexible elongated element has an elliptical shape in cross section, characterized by a gradual change in the size of the implant of the restored portion of the rib along the longitudinal length of the corresponding portion of the rib.

EFFECT: invention provides higher reliability and durability of the thorax implant, reduced contouring of the thorax implant under the skin (so that it is less visible under the skin), creation of a thorax implant, which is more consistent with natural movement of chest ribs during breathing, as well as wider range of products for this type of operations on chest.
