FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in producing hydrofluoric acid. Acid-grade synthetic fluorite CaF2 has the shape of granules, is characterized by loss on ignition (LOI) 0.3–1.2 and/or BET value measured in samples after drying at 800 °C, which is 50–100 m2/g. Average particle size with respect to the weight of synthetic fluorite, wt.%: more than 10 mm—zero, more than 5 mm—1–10, more than 1 mm—40–80, more than 0.05 mm—10–30, less than 0.05 mm—1–20. Concentration of the following impurities in synthetic fluorite, measured on samples fired at 800 °C, is, wt.%: SiO2—less than 1; MgO—less than 0.5.
EFFECT: content of CaF2 in the end product is not less than 95 wt.%, which is an indicator of its high purity.
