SUBSTANCE: group of inventions discloses a method of treating leukaemia or lymphoma in an individual, wherein the method involves administering to the individual: (a) effective amount of a histone deacetylase (HDACi) inhibitor, wherein HDACi is a nanatinostat, wherein the nanatinostat is administered in a total daily dose of 10 to 40 mg; and (b) an effective amount of an antiviral agent selected from a list consisting of acyclovir, ganciclovir, valaciclovir, valganciclovir and famciclovir, wherein the antiviral agent is administered in a total daily dose of 1800 mg, 900 mg or 450 mg; wherein the treatment of the individual is carried out in accordance with a treatment regimen which has a duration of one week, and in which nanatinostat is administered for 4 days in the treatment regimen and the antiviral agent is administered every day in the treatment regimen. Group of inventions also includes a kit containing HDACi, where HDACi is a nanatinostat and (b) an antiviral agent selected from a list consisting of acyclovir, ganciclovir, valaciclovir, valganciclovir and famciclovir.

EFFECT: providing efficacy, as well as preventing and controlling side effects associated with treatment with a histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACi).
