FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to subsonic light airplanes and airplanes of transport category of short or reduced take-off and landing, intended for transportation of passengers and cargoes on local and regional air routes. Disclosed is an aircraft comprising a glider, including a fuselage, a wing, a tail unit, a landing gear, a cruise power plant consisting of one or more engines, an electric booster power plant with folding propellers, with a drive from an electric motor, located at the ends of the wing, made with possibility of being supplied from storage batteries or an auxiliary power plant based on a heat engine and an electric generator. Booster power plant capacity makes 30–60% of cruise power plant capacity. Booster power plant propeller blades folding mechanism is made with possibility of automatic folding of blades when safe climb speed is achieved.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce take-off distance, including when based on unpaved airfields, increase level of flight safety, increase weight and fuel efficiency.
