FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used in treatment and rehabilitation of patients with brain injuries. Electroencephalography is used to determine the upper frequency of brain bioelectric activity requiring stimulation. Electrodes are placed in the frontal-temporal regions in a projection of the dorso-lateral prefrontal gyrus, placing the anode above the dominant hemisphere. Frequency-time parameters of the package of rectangular pulses are set: pulse width is from 10 to 20 ms, the interval between the first and second pulses is inversely proportional to the upper frequency of bioelectric activity of the brain. Duration of intervals increases with factor of 1.28–1.92. Total current of not more than 2 mA is used.
EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness and rehabilitation of patients with brain injuries, improved synchronization of glial-neuronal structures of the brain and activation of neurons.
