SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to deliver a flexible pipeline or a downhole tractor on a geophysical cable to a seat in Y-shaped devices for bypassing a submersible pump unit. Method of delivering a tool in Y-shaped bypass devices of a submersible pump installation includes passing a geophysical cable through a central hole of a geophysical plug, fixing the lowered tool at the end of the cable and lowering the geophysical plug to the seat. In the geophysical plug along the housing there installed are cylindrical inserts for sealing the cable, and in its lower part a cable tip is fixed, which is connected to the launched tool. Geophysical plug comprises a housing with a central hole, a base inside which a sliding sleeve is installed, sealing elements, a tip and radial holes. Plug is made as an assembly of interconnected adapters and is equipped with guide inserts for cable sealing. Rod installed below the sliding bushing is screwed into the base of the plug, the sealing elements are located on the outer surface of the rod, and in the rod body there are through holes parallel to the diameter for installation of elements fixing the cable tip of the descending tool.

EFFECT: increased reliability of tool delivery to the seat and provision of safety of geophysical investigations.
