FIELD: welding.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for removal of internal ring burr in production of drill pipes with friction welded joints, diameter of circulation channel of which is less than diameter of pipe in zone of welded joint. Prior to welding, the tool is placed on the side of the welded end of the lock at a distance of at least 10 mm from the joint of the lock with the pipe. and cutting the burr with its simultaneous separation and complete separation from the pipe body by longitudinal movement of the tool along the pipe axis. Tool with cut separated burr is withdrawn. Tool is assembled and consists of at least three identical segments with an external cylindrical surface, a working section with an end cutting edge and a tail section. One lateral side of the working section of the segment is made in the form of a helical surface, and the opposite lateral side is conjugated with the surface of the tail section, note here that tail sections of the assembled segments make a cylinder. End cutting edge is formed by intersection of side surfaces of the working section of the segment, and the side cutting edge of the working section of the segment is formed by the intersection of the side helical surface and the outer cylindrical surface.

EFFECT: cutting of internal ring burr and simultaneous removal of tool with cut burr, divided into small fragments.
