SUBSTANCE: threaded connection for pipes used in wells during exploration and production of hydrocarbons includes a connecting element, first and second pipe elements. Connecting element has an outer diameter of the COD connection and comprises a first coupling part, a second coupling part and a peripheral part. Peripheral part is located between the first coupling part and the second coupling part and has a radial thickness B and an axial length C. First coupling part and the second coupling part have radial thickness A located between the inner rim and the first internal threads and the second internal threads respectively. First tubular element contains the first non-threaded tubular part and the first nipple part. Second tubular element contains the second non-threaded tubular part and the second nipple part. First non-threaded tubular part and the second non-threaded tubular part have an outer diameter TOD and a radial wall thickness W. First tubular element and the second tubular elements have inner diameter TID. Threaded connection meets the following conditions: COD > TOD, B = approximately ((COD − TID)/2), C > 0, and A < W.

EFFECT: possibility of using threaded connection of pipes in wells of small diameter is provided.
