SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a steam hairdressing device (1) for styling hair, comprising: first sponge (2) and second sponge (3), located opposite each other and pivotally connected to each other, wherein first sponge (2) carries first processing surface (4), and second sponge (3) carries second processing surface, wherein the first and second treatment surfaces are configured to clamp at least one strand of hair, a liquid reservoir, wherein first and/or second sponges (2, 3) additionally comprise: system (7) for evaporation of liquid into steam, comprising at least one evaporation chamber (71) having an inner surface and communicating by means of injection pipe (74) with a liquid reservoir, wherein injection tube (74) has a free end forming a point of injection of liquid into evaporation chamber (71), steam distribution system (7') from evaporation system (7) comprising at least one steam distribution hole (75) in the direction of at least one hair strand, wherein the inner surface of evaporation chamber (71) is at least partially coated with hydrophobic layer (9) located under the injection point.
