FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to peristaltic pumps used in electric household appliances, preferably in hairdressing appliances. Invention also relates to electric household appliances, in particular, to hairdressing appliances containing peristaltic pumps. Peristaltic pump (6) for electric household appliance (1) comprises pump housing (60) limiting chamber (68), in which there is deformable tube (63) adapted to contain the liquid to be transferred. Peristaltic pump (6) comprises sealing device (661, 662, 663) designed to retain fluid inside chamber (68) in case of rupture of deformable tube (63). Pump comprises inlet connector (61) for receiving fluid suction pipeline (32) and outlet connector (62) for receiving fluid supply pipeline (33), connected to deformable tube (63). Inlet (61) and outlet (62) connectors are located in the same plane belonging to one external surface of peristaltic pump (6).
EFFECT: increased safety of the device both with respect to components of the device itself and with respect to the user, in particular in case of rupture of the tube of the peristaltic pump.
