SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle brake control systems. Method of controlling and diagnosing a train braking system using digital twin technology consists in the fact that control is carried out by a real object due to control actions of an automatic control system based on the obtained data on the train, duplicate supply of control actions to the digital twin of the real object is performed, and diagnostics is based on analysis of deviation of expected parameters of virtual sensors from readings of real sensors. Also disclosed is a train braking system control and diagnostics device using digital twin technology, consisting of an interface and information unit, a unit for comparing virtual and real sensors, an automatic control system, a unit for correcting controlled disturbances, a unit for predicting the behaviour of an object, a feedback channel, virtual and real sensors, a digital twin, a real-time unit which are based on a system of on-board computing devices.
EFFECT: higher train operation safety.
