FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of ice floes and snow contaminated with oil products. Ice-melting plant in container design for cleaning ice from oil contaminants contains ice-melting and separator compartments located in series and separated by a partition. Ice-melting compartment contains heat exchangers in form of coil with heat carrier, spatially oriented along bottom and side walls of ice-melting compartment and protected by grate. Installation additionally contains an ice crushing compartment installed in front of the ice-melting compartment, and an additional cleaning compartment located behind the separator compartment. Ice-melting compartment is additionally separated from the separator compartment by a protective screen, and ethylene glycol is selected as a heat carrier. In the separator compartment, a brush oil collector, a guide element, a submersible progressing cavity pump and an intermediate tank for separated oil are installed, and in the additional cleaning compartment there is a belt hydrophobic oil collector connected by a return pipe to the separator compartment.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of ice cleaning from oil products in a wide range of operating temperatures (from plus 40 to minus 40 °C), mainly during operations in arctic conditions.
