FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of metallized fibres of natural origin and fabrics based on them and can be used in textile industry to create materials with electrophysical properties, including for protection against electromagnetic radiation. During chemical metallization of linen fibres with nickel, which are subjected to sulphite-alkaline cooking, functional groups SO3H formed during sulphite-alkaline cooking of flax are used to reduce nickel. At the stage of flax surface sensitization, fabric is treated with Mohr's salt solution with concentration of 10 g/l at room temperature for 20 minutes. Ratio of the mass of the solution to the mass of the linen fibre of the fabric is equal to 50. It is washed with distilled water. Nickel metallisation step is carried out using the reaction of hypophosphite with water. Fabric is dried for 24 hours at room temperature.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining fabrics metallized with nickel from linen fibres with specified electrophysical properties by the method of chemical metallization according to the technology excluding the stages of degreasing, etching and activation.
